Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 6, 2026 · Published by Skailine

Welcome to InkFlo (the "Service"). Skailine ("we," "us") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit this website, use the InkFlo app, or contact us.

In brief: InkFlo is designed local-first. We do not run a self-hosted cloud server, and we do not currently upload your note content. Your notes are stored on your device. If you turn on backup, your data is stored with the service you choose (iCloud, Google Drive, or your own Git remote). The one exception is when you choose to use "Box it, ask AI": the content you select and send is transmitted to the AI service you choose.

This English version is provided for convenience. If there is any inconsistency, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.

1. Information We Collect

Website visitors. This website is a static page. It currently includes no user accounts, advertising, or third-party tracking code. The website hosting provider may record basic connection information in the ordinary course of operating its service (for example, IP address, browser type, and access time). That information is handled under the hosting provider's policies.

Information you provide. If you contact us by email ([email protected]), we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any other information you provide, so we can respond to and handle your request.

The InkFlo app. We do not require an account to use the app's core features. Your notes, PDFs, images, and version history are stored on your device by default, and we cannot access that content.

2. How We Use Information

3. Storage and Backup

Note data is stored primarily on your device. If you use the backup feature, data is sent to the third-party service you choose, such as iCloud, Google Drive, or a Git remote you specify. These services handle data under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.

Box it, ask AI. When you select note content and send a question to an AI service you choose (for example, Claude or Gemini), the selected content and your question are sent to that AI service to get a response. This transmission happens only when you send it. We do not store or analyze this content. However, the AI service's handling of data is governed by its own privacy policy and terms of use, which you should review.

4. Third-Party Services and Links

This website contains links to third-party sites, such as the parser-for-goodnotes project on GitHub. These sites are not covered by this policy. Please review their privacy policies.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. Apart from the following cases, we do not share your personal information with third parties:

6. Retention and Deletion

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above. You may ask us at any time to delete personal information we hold about you (for example, emails you sent us); see Section 8 for how to do so. Notes and backups in the app can be deleted directly on your device or in your backup service.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no transmission over the internet or method of storage is completely secure. Please also keep your devices and backup accounts protected.

8. Your Rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Act of Taiwan and other applicable laws, you may request access to, a copy of, correction or supplementation of, restriction of collection, processing, or use of, and deletion of the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not designed for children under 14. If you believe a minor has provided personal information without consent, please contact us and we will act promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice.
